Mt. Carmel, UT

Zion Mountain Ranch

Directions

Zion Mountain Ranch is just outside of Zion National Park, above the North Entrance, in Mt Carmel, UT.

To arrive, you must have a parks pass, or purchase 7 day pass in order to drive through the park. OR drive around which only adds ~15 minutes of drive time. Although we suggest if you’re spending the weekend, a pass is worth it.

-7 day pass: $35 per vehicle

-Annual National Parks pass: $80

Where to Stay

Zion Mountain Ranch has private cabins or larger lodges available to reserve.

Lodges would be a great option for groups 4+, Cabins for couples

Click the link below for all of the information regarding the different lodging options. If you would rather book a nearby hotel, you are more than welcome. However, we think staying at the ranch is worth it.

The Applecross trail system is one of my favorites in Southern Utah. Green, Blue and Black trails for all levels of riding. Friday will be our mtb day.

Off-Roading

The Barracks Trail is a level 3 rated offroad trail with some off camber slick rock sections, loose sand, river crossings and amazing views. We can do it in our 2 wheel drive Volkswagen Bug. But I highly suggest a 4x4 vehicle with some ground clearance. Some of the river crossings can have a decent rut/step on the other side. We will be doing this trail starting at 10am on Sunday.
